Mothers Trust Service Meeting Blog- November 22, 2011

Today's meeting took place on Tuesday, Nov. 22, due to the Thanksgiving holiday.  It included 19 cases, with 4 held over from last week.  3 cases were placed on hold pending more information, 2 were denied and 14 were granted at a total of $3589.00. We had some unusual and difficult cases this week for families.  One involved a woman with 2 children leaving an abusive relationship that needed help with a security deposit in order to move into her own home.  Another case was to supply clothing for a 14 year old girl living with a single dad who had outgrown her clothes. We also provided for a homeless family of 3 with a deceased father that needed beds for their new home. 

Our next service meeting will be back to our regular day on Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 9:30 am.  Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
