Mothers Trust Service Meeting Blog January 11, 2012

Today we reached a milestone- our 11,000 case! We had 28 new cases, with 3 held over from last week pending further information.  Of the 28 cases we reviewed today, 1 was denied due to too high of an income, 4 were placed on hold and 23 were granted for a total of approximately $4336.00.  We had a compelling case requesting help for a child to be part of a basketball program that would help him with structure and anger management.  We had another case where we paid for a disabled child to be part of a youth theatre program.  We provided for a family in transition to Section 8 housing that needed payment for a week at a hotel while their paperwork was completed. And a 17 year old with asperations to attend college was provided with a registration fee for an ACT prep class.
