Mothers Trust Service Meeting Blog January 25, 2012
This morning we reviewed 18 cases including 2 held over from last week. We had 10 women in attendance today and, while our list was a bit smaller than in previous weeks, today's cases involved many large families with truly immediate needs. We were able to approve $3,369 in grants that reached over 46 children including:
- A homeless mom of 5 with a brand new baby in need of a papoose baby carrier
- A young family of 3 boys who just lost their father to illness in need of clothing, school uniforms and art supplies.
- A single mom of 2 teenage boys in emergency need of winter coats and boots
- The PADS homeless shelter who was in need of 6 car and booster seats to help them transport their residents with children
- A single dad of a young girl in need of 1st month's rent for an apartment
- A disabled mom of 4 young girls in need of a new transmission for her car
- A senior in high school in need of school fees to allow him to graduate and get his diploma
Thank you to all who attended. We will see you next week!
