Women, Wine & Shoes 2011

Thank you all for your support, time and generous donations to the Mothers Trust Foundation's Second Annual Women, Wine & Shoes event at the Lake Forest Bootery Wednesday, February 23, 2011. The event was once again a fabulous success and we look forward to planning for next year! Much appreciation to Sunset Foods and Terlato Wines for providing the delicious treats and drinks, everyone adored shopping while tasting. Mothers Trust received 10% of all sales on all store merchandise including men's, children's, accessories and Sale merchandise.

Contributions collected allow us to continue our mission of helping children in Lake County, Illinois. Some of the way's we've already made a difference this year include: purchasing a $60 bus pass for a young man who wants to attend substance abuse counseling, paying for appropriate attire needed for job interviews, helping numerous students graduate high school by paying their past due school fees, and assisting a family with the purchase of a YMCA Family pass so the parents (both diagnosed with cancer) and two daughters (youngest has birth defects and the other is diabetic) can spend time together this summer.

It is due to the continued support we receive from our surrounding communities that we are able to make benefits and opportunities available which cannot be obtained from other sources. In cooperation with our social service partners, we focus on the needs of children and we help. Since our founding in 1998, we have been able to serve more than 14,000 children with grants of approximately $1,250,000.
